I have overseen this Variety report from the start, taking it on as the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements were gaining momentum around the globe. This year as I was putting it together, power producer Harvey Weinstein was convicted on two charges, something that would have been unthinkable three years ago. This year’s report showcases high achievers from around the globe, with Oscar, Emmy and Grammy winners in its ranks, along with various execs and deal makers.
