Fog burned off for St. Pat’s Day — lots of wearing of the green in Hermosa

The coastal fogathon ended in time for St. Patrick’s Day and the crowds hit the beach in festive green. By 2 p.m. the lines at Hermosa’s bars were growing.

How foggy was it? This foggy!

It was so foggy when I stopped by Playa del Rey this afternoon that it looked otherworldly. There’s a man and a lifeguard stand shrouded in that fog.

Rowed their way up the channel

But they were not playing beach volleyball — the courts were empty, as evidenced here.
