Body boarders couldn’t wait to get into the water after a jet ski accident temporarily halted wave riding at the Wedge late last month.
The waves were booming
And smiles frequent
As they did their best to hold on, even during bumpy rides
Back to the shore for more.

Junior girls began paddling it out at the National Scholastic Surf Assn. championships shortly after I got to the Huntington pier late this afternoon.
The girls were really into it.
Competing intensely
And going back for more while they still had time.
